Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ members today have been truly blessed by God and those who came before us. We worship in a beautiful sanctuary that was built by some of our members’ ancestors. There are many beautiful stained glass windows. There is a large one of Jesus speaking to the people on the mountain side. The colors are vivid and Jesus stands out in the picture. I sing in the choir and look directly at that stain glass window which inspires me each time I worship.
Worship service is a time to be connected with our Creator in a fellowship that renews and refreshes us for what lies ahead in our lives.
We praise God with traditional and contemporary music. Everyone can take a part in worship by reading scripture, playing bells, singing in the choirs, skits, announcements, and various other means of worship.
The Lenten Season starts with Ash Wednesday on February 17th. Services are at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion will be offered at this service.
Come and join us! All are welcome!
